SSAT Primary Webinar – Ofsted inspections under the EIF: A primary subject leader’s experience

Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework, quite rightly, values a broad and balanced primary curriculum. Inspections now are shining the spotlight on a school’s curriculum offer when considering the ‘quality of education’ for its pupils. While we all would agree with the rationale behind the change of focus in the latest framework, the introduction of ‘deep dives’ mean that teachers who lead subjects from across the whole curriculum may be asked to speak to an inspector about their subject’s intent, implementation and impact.

Sophie Powell, Executive Headteacher at Fairview Primary School and The Compass Partnership of schools, along with subject leaders from across her schools, will join our primary webinar to answer questions from subject leaders across the network. Sophie’s colleagues, who have all been part of a curriculum deep dive during an inspection, will use their experiences to support other subject leaders who may be interested to find out more about the inspection process.
