Courageous leadership for professional accountability: Peer to peer challenge and support
This case study explores the journey of Manchester Challenge to Support Partnership (MC2SP), an alliance of four primary schools in Manchester. Driven by a shared ethos and the ambition to enhance educational outcomes, MC2SP focuses on collaborative working, mutual challenge, and support. Key themes include trust-building, school self-evaluation, and whole-school involvement. The partnership’s approach, based on peer accountability and shared responsibility, has led to notable improvements in teaching practices and student outcomes. This model exemplifies how schools can work together effectively for the betterment of their communities.
