Born to Kosovan refugees who moved to the UK with limited resources, Fiona knew that getting to Oxford University was far from a done deal.
So, with an unbending desire to make her parents proud, she Googled: ‘How to get into Oxford’ and Zero Gravity came up.
She applied to the platform, and after a quick eligibility check, unlocked her free membership. “My mentor, Susie, was incredible. An amazing, amazing woman. Despite the fact that I was in year 12 and she was at university doing exams, she took me on and did weekly, sometimes biweekly sessions with me, and gave me so much time and energy.”
Now in her second year at Oxford, Fiona reflects on her experience with Zero Gravity:
