SSAT joins the Fair Education Alliance

We are delighted to announce that SSAT has become a member of The Fair Education Alliance.

The Alliance is a coalition for change in education comprising of the UK’s leading organisations. The Alliance’s aim is to work towards ending the persistent achievement gap between young people from our poorest communities and their wealthier peers.

Committed to this common goal, the Alliance will both work collectively to find solutions to address educational inequality, as well as annually monitor the progress made to narrow the gap.

Anne-Marie Duguid, director of education at SSAT, said:

‘SSAT – the schools, students and teachers network is delighted to support the Fair Education Alliance. We are committed to social justice and working in partnership with others to address educational disadvantage. We look forward to collaborating with the many prestigious organisations within the alliance to raise awareness of the Fair Education Alliance impact goals and to have an impact on the life chances of children across the country.’

Lewis Iwu, director of the Fair Education Alliance, said:

‘SSAT is a key stakeholder in the fight towards educational equality. We’re delighted to have the largest and most active network of schools come on board with the Alliance.’
