Congratulations to all

A Levels

Huge congratulations to all students receiving their results today. All students in this year’s cohort, regardless of their final results have so much to be proud of. They have shown extraordinary resilience, persevering when the world as we knew it changed overnight. They managed to learn in their bedrooms, without being able to connect in person with their teachers and friends for long periods of time. They developed independent learning skills and new ways of working.

They managed this because of the exceptional work of their teachers, who showed similar resilience in challenging times. Many learnt new skills overnight, adapted carefully made plans and managed to teach online often whilst juggling their own children at home. They persevered through rapidly changing circumstances and huge uncertainty because of their determination to do right by the young people they are working with. Against all odds, they kept students on track with their learning and continued to support their wellbeing.

We hope that today’s results were what you hoped for. If they weren’t, we know that a different path may prove to be a better one and that there is always so much more to a young person than their results. If we ever needed proof of this, we only have to look at what this cohort have done. Well done to everyone and good luck to everyone in their next steps.
