High-Performance Leadership programme announced

College of Teaching Founding TrusteesSSAT and the Centre for High-Performance are proud to announce High-Performance Leadership, an innovative programme for school and system leaders, launching in autumn 2016.

The 18-month programme combines unique opportunities to learn from some of the world’s most successful organisations, such as NASA and HSBC, with academic support to translate research evidence into school impact.

The Centre for High-Performance presented evidence on the most effective strategies to turn around a school at this week’s Global Education and Skills Forum. This led the Education Committee to launch an enquiry into the performance, accountability and governance of Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs). SSAT is delighted to be working with the Centre on this new programme, and to be sharing their leading insights with schools and partners.

Ben Laker, Director at the Centre for High-Performance said:

“The Centre aims to develop a better world economy, society and environment by helping organisations to create and sustain high-performance. We look forward to working with SSAT; together we can shape a world-class education system and help school leaders by sharing insights, ideas and evidence-based strategies.”

Anne-Marie Duguid, Director of Education at SSAT said:

“The opportunity to work in partnership on this game-changing new programme is both exciting and essential as we move forwards into a new era in education. SSAT has a long track record of being pioneers in leadership – this partnership takes it to the next level.”

The programme will explore how the world’s highest performing organisations sustain success and ask what can schools learn from them?
